Anything in the family circle — swimming, parents' evening, the match — shows up for everyone. Subscribe once from your phone's own calendar app and family things sit next to everything else you already check. No new app to remember to open, no screenshots of a kitchen wall planner.
Trip money without the crumpled envelope
£12 for the museum trip by Wednesday. Start a collection in the family circle, and it's a link anyone can pay from their phone — including the grandparents, who like paying for trips. You see it's done; nobody counts coins into a book bag.
One line closed it; the booking landed on the calendar by itself.
The MOT chases whoever can book it
The car's MOT is due in March. The dentist wants to see the kids in six months. Write it once and forget it — that's the point. It comes back when there's still time to book, sitting on the family's list where whoever can actually do the booking sees it.
When someone writes "booked the MOT for the 14th", the loose end closes itself and the booking lands on the calendar. Nobody files anything.
